COVID 19 Update

Thank you for visiting our website for additional information regarding COVID-19. We are committed to providing you with the best patient experience, and we look forward to caring for you and your family.


1. Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday and select Saturdays at each location.

2. Our doors are open at our Hausman and Somerset locations. Our Potranco location remains locked due to a significantly higher patient volume. Our team members are ready to assist you by calling our main number at 210-691-4733 option 2 for Hausman, option 2 for Potranco, and option 3 for Somerset.

3. We are continuing our curbside service for glasses and contact lenses delivery. Call our main number when you arrive. 210-691-4733 option 1 for Hausman, option 2 for Potranco, and option 3 for Somerset.

4. We have a COVID questionnaire and waiver for all scheduled patients, guardians/helpers, and those visiting our optical to complete before you enter the office.

5. Minor children who are scheduled for an appointment may be accompanied by both parents and/or guardians. Scheduled adults should not bring any children to the appointment. Any adults requiring assistance with their medical appointment may be accompanied by one helper/assistant.

6. Our optical is open, and we are ready to help pick out your new eyewear! We have transitioned to scheduled optical appointments for glasses purchases. This allows our opticians to spend dedicated time with you and make sure we understand all your eyewear needs. 7. We are happy to adjust your glasses, replace screws, etc. for you. You may walk-in or call our office for curbside assistance. Call our office when you arrive. 210-691-4733 option 1 for Hausman, option 2 for Potranco, and option 3 for Somerset.

Caring For You


Due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, we are taking precautions as recommended by the CDC-Centers for Disease Control. Our top priority is taking care of our family, patients, and team members. We are doing our best to keep you safe & keep access to vision care available during this time. We understand the situation will be continuously evolving, and we will make necessary updates as the situation requires.

For your convenience, we have created a dedicated email for you to send requests for contact lenses orders, medications refills, or any other concern related to your care. We’ve outlined our newly implemented procedures below so that you know what to expect when you arrive at our offices.


* All patient/visitors to our office will be sent to a hand disinfection and temperature check area. Anyone with a temperature greater than 99.9 will be asked to reschedule their appointment.
* Additional cleaning for all "patient touch points" (door handles, counter tops, and other high-touch surfaces).
* Our management team is reinforcing our company's illness policies so that all potentially sick employees stay home.
* The entire office is being sanitized multiple times throughout the day. All instruments are sanitized before and after each patient encounter (standard operating procedure).
* Glasses will be sanitized before and after patient handling OUR PATIENT REQUEST:
  • Only bring scheduled patients to the office (1-Accompanied minor per adult or elderly patient).
  • If you recently traveled to any of the high risk countries such as China, South Korea, Iran, Japan, and Europe within the past 30 days, please, delay & reschedule your appointment for 30 days after you returned from your travel.
  • If you have any flu-like symptoms (fever, chills body aches, & trouble breathing), please, delay your appointment for 30 days.
  • If you are experiencing any of the symptoms listed above, and you arrive at our office, we will kindly ask you to leave & reschedule your appointment.
  • Please notify us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule your appointment. This allows us to release your reserved time to another patient.
  • Please be patient…We will follow the procedures for EVERYONE coming to our office. It will take a bit of extra time, and we are committed to doing this for everyone’s safety. Together we will survive & thrive!
